| Description | This course explains the conditions and development of Islam in the Classical Period (650-1258 AD), this period is divided into expansion-integration and disintegration phases. The expansion and integration phase took place from 650-1000 AD with the spread of Islam through North Africa to Spain. Islam also passed through Persia to India. In this period, Islam experienced the development of science, language and religion which produced many great scholars. The disintegration phase took place in the period 1000-1250 AD and decline began to occur. |
